HER EVENT

More Than Type One

A women's wellbeing experience created exclusively for women living with Type 1 diabetes. Saturday 10th October 2026 at Fairways Hotel, Dundalk, Co. Louth. A day of connection, inspiration and empowerment, exploring the topics that matter to women beyond the numbers - from hormones and menopause to strength, nutrition, mental wellbeing and confidence. This is a day dedicated to the woman behind the diagnosis.

Early Bird Tickets — was €79, now ONLY €69. Limited early bird availability.

You are more than your diabetes.

Every single day, you carry a responsibility that most people will never understand: the constant decisions, the planning, the checking, the adjusting, the mental load, the highs, the lows, and the conversations you have in your own head. And while managing your diabetes is part of your life, it is not all of who you are. HER EVENT was created because women with Type 1 diabetes deserve a space where they can step away from the numbers and focus on themselves - their health, their confidence, their strength, their wellbeing.

Finally, an event that sees the whole woman.

There are fantastic diabetes education resources available. But women are more than their blood glucose levels. HER EVENT brings together inspiring women and experts to explore the topics that impact us through every stage of life:

  • Understanding your hormones

  • Building strength and confidence

  • Creating a healthy relationship with food

  • Looking after your body

  • Protecting your mental wellbeing

  • Becoming the strongest version of yourself

HER EVENT is for women living with Type 1 diabetes who:

  • Feel like diabetes takes up too much mental space

  • Want to prioritise themselves without guilt

  • Are looking for connection with women who truly understand

  • Want practical tools to improve their health and wellbeing

  • Are navigating life stages like motherhood, hormones, perimenopause or menopause

  • Want to feel stronger, more confident and empowered

  • Know they are capable of more than simply "managing" diabetes
